Ground Y's Transcending the Ages "Beyond Boundaries" Spring/Summer 2022 Collection
Ground Y, Yohji Yamamoto's another brand that presents new fashion possibilities with genderless and ageless styles while also using diverse aspects that complement the concept, will unveil its Spring/Summer 2022 Collection on Friday, January 21st, 2022.
To transcend gender and era, creations were conceived by destroying all existing expectations. Through Yohji Yamamoto's filter, new fashion options are shown.
The concept of the Spring/Summer 2022 Collection is "Beyond Boundaries."
Ground Y unique images show the history of Japan's most famous literary figures (Ango Sakaguchi, Soseki Natsume, Osamu Dazai, Ogai Mori, Atsushi Nakajima, Motojiro Kajii, Kyusaku Yumeno), whose written works have continued to inspire people over the decades.
Ground Y offers the delight of freely expressing one's own fashion without being constrained by prejudices or restrictions.
Mai Fukagawa 深川麻衣 and Mahiro Takasugi 高杉 真宙, actresses and actors who have appeared in prominent TV dramas and films, are major visual models for the Spring/Summer 2022 Collection. 
The visuals for the GroundY Spring/Summer 2022 Collection were shot at Jiyu Gakuen Myonichikan, a designated Important Cultural Property of Japan designed by America's renowned architect, Frank Lloyd Wright, in 1921, under the direction of No magazine Creative Team photographer Masatoshi Yamashiro and stylist Takashi Mizuguchi.

Artist biographies
Sakaguchi Ango 坂口 安吾 (1906-1955)
Sakaguchi, who has always been fascinated by detective stories, used to play "identify the perpetrator" with his pals during WWII. Following WWII, he rose to prominence as a modernist torchbearer, penning works such as Darakuron (Discourse on Decadence) and The Idiot. Sakaguchi is one of designer Yohji Yamamoto's favorite authors, as one of the most famous figures in modern Japanese literature active from pre-WWII to post-WWII.
Natsume Soseki 夏目 漱石(1867-1916)
Natsume is indisputably one of Japan's great modern literature giants, working from the late Meiji to the early Taisho eras as a novelist, critic, British literature scholar, and poet.
Dazai Osamu 太宰 治(1909-1948)
Despite various difficulties, Dazai released numerous works from the beginning of WWII until years after it ended, despite a period as a left-wing activist. He was classified as a member of the Buraiha, or Decadent School, because of his writing style, yet he was a typical self-destructive I-novel writer.
Ogai Mori 森 鴎外, says the narrator (1862-1922)
Tsuwano, Iwami Province, is where he was born. Graduated from the Medical School of Tokyo Imperial University. Following graduation, Mori worked for the Imperial Japanese Army as a medical officer in Germany and other countries. While working as a medical officer in Japan, he wrote novels such as The Dancing Girl, The Wild Geese, Sansho the Bailiff, Takasebune, and the historical biography of Shibue Chusai.
Atsushi Nakajima 中島 敦 is a Japanese writer (1909-1942)
Nakajima kept writing novels while working as a teacher at Yokohama Girls' Higher School after graduating from Tokyo Imperial University, then worked as a government official for the Palau South Seas Agency before focusing on his literary efforts.
Motojiro Kajii 梶井 基次郎 (1901-1932)
Kajii, who was heavily influenced by Soseki Natsume, authored more than 20 eloquent works that combined intuitive and intellectual aspects with simple descriptions and beautiful poetry.
Yumeno Kyusaku 夢野 久作(1889-1936)
Yumeno was known for his extremely cryptic and magical writings, beginning with Dogra Magra, one of Japan's three best mystery novels. His work encompasses horror, fairy tales, poetry, and tanka, among other genres. Many of his pieces captivate readers, and his brief lines emanate a sense of desperation and urgency.
