COMME des GARÇONS A/W 2022-23 RUNWAY SHOW
8th, MARCH, 2022
Theme: BLACK ROSE
Rei Kawakubo's "COMME des GARÇONS" has unveiled the Fall/Winter 2022-23 collection at its headquarters in Aoyama, Tokyo.
Devastating classic-style arrangement The collection this season is inspired by the dark beauty of the black rose and its symbolic importance. A voluminous black quilted coat dress is the first look. To expose the balloon-shaped sections, the lowest part of the peplum has been taken off.
The tension materials like bonded and felt are fitted to constructive jackets and coats in the following style, and the silhouettes of the curved waist and bustle, as well as body-conscious features like corsets and bra cups, stand out. COMME des GARÇONS's traditional style has a destructive layout, with the winner emerging from the side of the cut and the armhole, and the arm being exceedingly lengthy.
Textiles are decorated with zebra, paisley, and flower designs in the middle, which evolve into increasingly complicated patterns and layers. I was taken with the organic silhouette of a swelling bud.
The final stage is a black-and-white world. By stacking silky textiles, three-dimensional pattern work creates a sculpture-like form, such as a dress reminiscent of petals.
