COMME des GARÇONS is pleased to announce the launch of its latest collaborative sneaker with Nike, the Air Foamposite One, which debuted in Tokyo in January 2021 during the COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS Fall Winter 2021 show titled “Darkroom”. 

The Air Foamposite One is one of Nike’s most recognizable sneakers, first gaining notoriety with its debut in 1997 and legend Penny Hardaway’s subsequent embrace of the style. While there have been many collaborations since their inception, this is the first time the exterior shell has been customized to feature a unique three-dimensional ripple pattern that covers the shoe forefoot and midfoot. 

To commemorate the occasion, COMME des GARÇONS invited Brooklyn-based photographer Anthony Geathers to recontextualize the Air Foamposite One on the streets and community courts of New York City in his signature monochromatic style.

COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Air Foamposite One launches Friday, November 5th at 11.00am EST at Dover Street Market New York and on the DSMNY E-SHOP.
