GUCCI x COMME des GARÇONS Shopper launches Friday, October 15th at COMME des GARÇONS 

GUCCI has teased an upcoming COMME des GARÇONS capsule collection as part of their 100th-anniversary celebrations. 

GUCCI has been busy working on a variety of whimsical collaborative initiatives, including their upcoming Aria collection in cooperation with neighboring luxury brand Balenciaga and a small Cadillac Seville collector automobile with Mattel's Hot Wheels, in honor of their 100th anniversary this year.

As part of their celebrations, GUCCI has announced yet another upcoming collaborative effort on a tote bag with Japan design house Comme des Garçons, which has seen them look back on Gucci's rich history for inspiration. 

In 2018, GUCCI and COMME des GARÇONS collaborated on a range of co-branded PVC tote bags, which featured CDG branding and Gucci's signature green and red stripe trim in various permutations.

In keeping with previous editions, the new tote features the classic Comme des Garçons shopper style personalized with Gucci’s signature vertical green-red-green Web stripe. The see-through outer “shell” acquires a new dimension adapting to the paper “inner”, previously natural brown and with a printed floral motif for the first two editions, now presented in black closing the circle of this experimental process. It is available at Gucci's online concept store "Vault" and DOVER STREET MARKET. The price is 55,000 yen including tax.
