This season 132 5. ISSEY MIYAKE engages with the concept of wrap, by looking at the form and comfort of clothing as they envelop the body. The collection conveys the fascination of three-dimensional forms being made out of a flat surface and the wonder of opening up what is folded and enclosed, both of which lend themselves to the organic forms created by fabrics soft to touch. The collection reflects on everyday life, as it integrates the simplicity in the act of wrapping and enveloping.
Made of firm cotton and soft polyester fabric, the various silhouettes are revealed in the process of unfolding the wrap,
allowing the wearer to feel a sense of joyful excitement.
