Exhibition of chairs designed by Rei Kawakubo-LICHT

The special exhibition of chairs, designed by Rei Kawakubo (the head designer of COMME des GARÇONS), is held at Design Gallery LICHT.

Chairs designed by Rei Kawakubo will be exhibited at design gallery LICHT. The exhibition is available from May 29th to June 6th. There are three carefully selected tin based tripods which Rei Kawakubo worked on furniture from 1983 to 1993.

Some of the chairs on display will also be on sale. Rei Kawakubo started designing furniture because she couldn't find the perfect one to install in her own boutique. She designed chairs and tables as an extension of the boutique space design.

Over the next decade, she launched about 40 pieces of furniture. These pieces of furniture have been held as a permanent collection in various museums including the Paris Museum of Decorative Arts and are highly regarded as one of the art pieces.
